    What is IAESTE?<\/h4>\n

    The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience - in short IAESTE - is an international, non-political, independent organization organizing internships abroad.<\/p>\n

    IAESTE History<\/h4>\n

    IAESTE was founded in 1948 in London and has so far sent more than 300.000 students to over 85 countries. Germany is a member of the IAESTE program since 1950. It is represented by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).<\/p>\n

    IAESTE Organisational Structure<\/h4>\n

    IAESTE is supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Federal Foreign Office. The local committees consist of committed students of the particular university. Where this is not possible, the international offices take care of the assignments of IAESTE.<\/p>\n

    Activities of IAESTE<\/h4>\n

    The Local Committees (LC) accept applications for internships abroad. The placement of these internships, which are usually between 8 and 12 weeks long, is of course free of charge. On the other hand, the LCs also look after the foreign students on site. This includes, for example, finding a room, dealing with the authorities and organising leisure activities.<\/p>\n

    Aim of IAESTE<\/h4>\n
