We are always looking for motivated students who are - just like us - enjoying cultural exchange and learning new things. We meet up weekly on Wednesday at 7:00 pm where we discuss current activities. Especially in summer, we also organize some trips with our incoming students from all over the world.

IAESTE Weekends

Join the IAESTE weekends in the summer! In almost every bigger city, the LC organizes a bigger event where you can meet and party with interns and other volunteers from all over the world

Also, if you like to organize events, learn about finances, assist incoming interns to get along in Darmstadt or help designing our social media presences, you are more than welcome to volunteer! Additionally, volunteering in an international and non-profit organization definately improves your CV ;-)

Are there any requirements to volunteer at IAESTE Darmstadt?

Actually, there is only one: You want to do it! It doesn't matter whether you study at TU or at h_da, it doesn't matter which semester you are in and it doesn't matter what you are studying - the main thing is that you are motivated! Otherwise, you should not be completely averse to English - most of our incomers speak very little German.

How much time do I need to invest in volunteering in IAESTE?

We meet up on a weekly basis (Wednesday, 8 pm) to discuss current activities. You decide for yourself how much time you would like to invest and what kind of activities you want to do. If something comes up and you can't make it to a meeting, that's not a big deal.

I'd like to volunteer, but I don't have time on Wednesdays. What to do?

Our meeting time on Wednesdays is not set in stone, just contact us and we'll find a solution.

Why are you guys volunteering at IAESTE?

It's all about getting to know people from all over the world. Especially when you've already spent some time abroad and experienced the hospitality of others, you want the incomers to have an unforgettable time in Darmstadt!
